My OH has used the same after shave for nearly 50 years. It is how he smells.

Imagine the crisis when we discovered the company would no longer sell the product in Australia.

Tried other brands, it was terrible, he absolutely did not smell right.

Family would search distant community shops for bottles of the stuff.

Then we discovered it was still available in the USA. We now buy it on line, cheaper, including the postage, than what we were paying in stores here.

So you have two choices, alternate brands so the other half doesn't become used to one smell.

OR Choose a company which won't take your choice off the market in 50 years time.

Got it in one. Your have my assurance that is still smells the same. As for the sting, I can't verify that.

As a Perfumer in my time !! LOL

Most men buy EDT for aftershave because its stronger in scent and does last longer on the skin, but its NOT for the facial skin and WILL sting !!......, but the Aftershave is a weaker substance especially made for the facial area and should not sting, unless one has open pores ....and should avoid the face area just apply to the neck !.

You can get Old Spice on the internet loads of it !!

They've just started advertising Old Spice over here again, so maybe they are going to revive it. My old Dad used to use it all the time, but mixed with his brycreem it smelt awful!

Hi Dream lover,
Hope your key board has dried out ...LOL

As well as Aftershave I had a fetish for hard shoes on a man , well not soft ones because I did like to hear my man walk !!

I once sent my hubby home( when I courted him) to change his shoes !! all because I liked his Chelsea boots best ....LOL

So that's why I never fancied a Teddy Boy's they had soft shoes ..GRRRR but they could jive , I'll give them that.

:-D :-D :-D

Carol,

I so loved those Chelsea boots......I had a different feeling towards my hubby when he wore those .. fancied him more .LOL

Cant say I have seen them lately , but then I don't go around looking any more...
Mind you the same goes for the opposite sex ....men did love us women in black patent shoes & stockings didn't they ???

Oh Getting carried away now ..LOL..... gone well off the Aftershave topic !!!!!

I think they are called Bovver Boots now!! :-D

GEORGINA

GEORGINA Report 1 Jul 2011 20:13

Marilyn
I've seen something like them but not as good quality: more like ankle boots with thicker soles. My OH had his for about 30 years cos he really looks after his things and he was always smart. They are more of a 'gentleman's shoe' than a boot.

Holly, obviously you are too young to remember these, ;-) but they were definitely not like Bovver boots. they were much classier.
