Oh lady and holly, you are both so funny

Hope you got to the signing OK lady. I sent you another PM

Lassie says she's not going to let anyone near to tamper with her bits, tho she didn't seem to mind the vet having a good grope this evening.
. She is practising to be a real neurotic collie. but we have a dog phychiatrist coming tomorrow.

Carol

thanks everyone

Do not rely on what the animal sanctuary have said. A friend got a rescue dog and was told she had been spayed. She hadn't, my avatar is one of her puppies.

Edit: now 3 years old.

Yes, I think a visit to the vet might help, so she can get a proper check up.
thank you all for your responses.

We have a 11 month old puppy, we let her have her first season, which certainly seemed to calm her down, she's going in this month to have 'the op' (not sure we could handle the patter of many tiny paws around) I'm dreading it, as I don't know how she'll be afterwards, the vet advised us to have her done before she went into season, but I think it depends on the breed you have, and how you feel about it.

GEORGINA Report 8 Jul 2011 16:27

We were told by the dog sanctuary that she had been done, but they can't find a record of it. If her previous owner had it done, she must have been less than 5 months. How do you tell, only she has no scar and we can't ask her.

Holly doesn't being spayed kill any desire? Are you saying you would have gladly missed out on all that?

My Rottie was spayed at 4months, didnt have to wait for first season and no problems!!

However we were told to keep her down to short block walks and no jumping for 24 hrs, that didnt stop her from leaping down the stairs the moment she got home !! but no harm done :-D

Good Luck with new puppy

after the first season or later depending on health of the dog or signs of any issues.

Just a very quick query

AT what age to vets usually spay a bitch puppy. It doesn't say on her adoption papers.
