You really desperately want to reply " look for yourself " lol

when your hand hovers over 'delete' even as you're typing....

when the short impolite message you receive for giving your help results in you slamming doors really hard.....

Don't lose heart Rose - there are those amongst us (the greater majority) who are always grateful for any assistance and always say please and thank you.

Oh I know Chris lol, I've had so many nice replies over the years and very few curt ones, I'm just in a general strop today I think :-D

I posted the following on one thread as I was getting a bit fed up that night

"So poster has not looked very hard to find him"

Because two of us had found the person in under 10 mins on the Scottish 1911 census and the poster had claimed they checked it and was asking for help to find him in England.


Boy did I get a stream of rude messages fromthat member

But on the whole most people do appreciate the help

hi rose.ive done a lot of lookups over the yrs for members,and ive also asked members for lots of help,i usually get nice thank you back,but sometimes ive had nothing.i suppose you have to take the good with the bad.x :-D

I hope that I have always said thank you for any help that I have had, and although I do have access to another well known company I much prefer to work on here instead.
So just is case anyone is felling let down THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO HELPS ANYONE ELSE. :-D

Stil up as we have just shared a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our 18th anniversary. Both families told us that it would not last a few weeks well........
we proved them wrong!! we had both been married before But not involved in anyway the sad need to divorce.

Well affter having more posts reported today than I have had in the last 18 months....I may have to call it a day after my subs are up tomorrow :-D

If I was rude I would love to know what it was I said.

Then the poster started a thread looking for me but I was outside having a ciggie...that got reported before I saw it, I'm pretty thicked skinned and it would take a lot to actually upset me.

I must say I did'nt take kindly to being told "We pay enough and expect more" but that also was reported...not by me I hasten to add

This was a newbie who was fine to start with and I had thought she had taken in the reasons why she should not start new threads about the same family......then it got nasty.

I am sure my subs will be messed up anyway as the card GR have for me is no more...maybe I should change it to single rather than continueous?

I would still love to know what she said in this thread she started about me :-D

I wonder just what has to be done to make people realise that it is not paid staff who do all this helping Surely it is made clear enough?

i dont ask for help that much as i like plodding alone by my self
but were would i be with out all your help.

and it some times the same with me with my grave stone thread
it dont mater how meany times i ask people to look thouth the thread for them self there is still the lazzy ones that ask me if i have who ever thay are looking for and i now have one cemetery with over a 1,000 head stones.

ok not all of my head stone are out on the thread as yet but i now tell them that thay have to look for them self and keep an eye on the thread and keep checking just in case ome think pops up for them
