Robin, I assume I am one of the people who expresses an opinion that he is sane.

What makes you think he is insane? If he had massacred a mosque full of Muslims then I would have said he was nuts! What he planned and executed did make sense to him, and if you 'get' his mindset , to others as well.

If you or I felt that someone was betraying our country to let's say the USA by indoctrination via skewed politics and perhaps the ruling government reinstated the death penalty and let's presume that neither you or I agreed with that decision who would you make your argument with? The party in opposition? of course not. You would target the party that introduced the policy you didn't like!

It isn't rocket science.

"..for now I prefer to remember their lives cut short rather than tie myself up into knots about why this random lunatic felt compelled to do what he did.
Time enough for that when the facts are presented clinically in a court of law."
- absolutely.

Well I hope that MI5 disagree with you.

There is significant rumour and some evidence that this character had links with extreme organisations in the UK.

If that is so then his motives and ultimate intentions need to be understood and acted upon now .............................. not delayed until after his trial.

Nothing like your 15 minute of fame - even spurious ;-)
