I rarely have poached eggs in hotels as they cook them in a pan with vinegar, which spoils the taste of the egg. |

Managed to get my bags today from Aldi at£1 a shot,i have tried all ways to poach an egg ,in water with vinager ,a poacher.coddler and always get them hard boiled ,grrrrrr,we will see what these bags are like ,lol.Fred. :-) |

I too use the Lakeland ones - they are better than the small ones that used to be available, as the cups are slightly bigger so that you bring a little water to the boil first (in the microwave) then break the eggs into it and cover them so that they cook both with the conventional water and a bit of steam. I do find it better to cook at a lower temperature than Lakeland suggests to avoid any explosions! |
