It's much easier to let the cat out of the bag than put him back in it again.

Our cat enjoys our company, and loves being groomed. But, despite being over fed, he's a relentless hunter of mice, rats, birds, frogs, squirrels and other cats.

I'm quite convinced that if he was the same size as our dog, he just wouldn't have been able to resist finishing us all off by now.

Letting Children see all that violence is not PC nowadays Dermot. :-(

But apparently its OK for them to play vicious War Games and Grand theft Auto on their very own ipads,Wii,etc.

Strange world we live in. :-S

Mine does catch the odd mouse and rat but the little bugger does not kill them he brings them home for us.

When we had 2 cats the other would kill them, but Piglet does not quite get the killing bit - and at 14 he will never start now.

It doesn't matter what colour your pet cat is as long as it can catch mice.

Love watching Tom & Jerry!

I don't know if the NHS keeps stats for cat inflicted injuries, but my mother would be on it if they do :-( after her much loved and cossetted cat decided to pop the veins in her leg with her claws (Quite Viciously) whilst being petted. which ended her up in hospital.

The big cat in the video is a beauty but the cynic in me would ask why in a cage in a zoo and not returned to the wild :-S

Bob, it would appear you own neither dog nor cat.
I therefore find your posts somewhat trite.
Anyone can google statistics, oft created by organisations trying to futher their own agendas. Doesn't make it true.
Besides, before we became 'civilised' (in the West that is...) humans were no better. At least we don't put up 'sticky poles' to catch an kill songbirds etc, hang dogs from market hooks (still alive), boil said animal, and cats, whilst alive .....oh, sorry, yes we humans do, how could I have forgotten that! Silly me... :-P

Loving - huh you ain't met my cat Piglet

He tolerates me and OH because we feed him

He hates being picked up
He hates being cuddled
Just about puts up with some stroking

And totally hates all other cats!!!!

Bobtanian Report 12 Feb 2013 21:46

Sorry ,
while I DO have sympathy for dog bitten people, especially children
that have been attacked by quite often unsuitable "pet" dogs

but 6000 dog bite victims pales into insignificance if you take on board the millions of wildlife victims that are killed and torn to pieces by these "underfed" felines........sorry but thats MY opinion

My bro-in-law is very ill in hospital at the moment and me and 'im indoors keep popping into his flat to feed his much-loved cat. Poor thing is so lonely at the moment without him there. Feel so sad for her :-(
