I fail to see why we pay for politicians to live in big houses/flats when they're MP's, and STILL pay for them when they break the law and are imprisoned at our expense.

If it's so damned easy to live on £53 a week, then ANY politician who's committed a crime should be forced to live in a bedsit on £53 a week, for a minimum of 3 months, after which, they can go back to Parliament and teach the other members (that can be taken either way) some empathy.

Dear All

Hello

Iain D S could not live on £53 per hour, let alone for one week.

He is totally detached from reality.

If I had not checked the date, I would have thought the implementation of the cuts to services, benefits and many other things was a fools joke and a sick one at that.

Take gentle care
Best wishes
EOS

I was talking tio someone who lives next to a juvenile detention centre near here. He told me that it cost £1500 a week to keep each offender.

Now one of IDS's colleagues is paying that much out of Government coffers. I think IDS should suggest to George that the prison budget should be massaged down to £53 per week per prisoner.

We don't want all these MPs in prison to have more than IDS ( a free man) when IDS has to prove he can manage on his £53 a week

It is possible to live on benefits, we do, but only if you have not succumbed to all the persuasion that you had for many years to get into debt.

Unfortunately, everbody was led to believe that they could have everything they wanted, indeed, should aspire to own things they could not afford to buy, never mind run or maintain so that those who had the money could make more by lending it to them for profit.

We have nextto nothing and that is how we survive.
