Anyone found anything that works? I am getting tired of putting them out of the kitchen.

Old wives tale

You ask them to leave nicely

I know it's odd but it is supposed to work

But honestly, once they are in the house, that means that the nest or nests are truly large and Non-lethal remedies will not work. Nippon

As my mum used to say, they Nippon and Nippoff

:-D

AnninGlos Report 8 Apr 2013 12:51

We use nippon but obviously it is lethal to the ants.

I've asked them nicely PP

I know the bit of garden by the kitchen is their favoured spot, I gave up trying to plant potatoes there because of it. I do try not to kill anything though if I can avoid it. :-D

I'v heard that bathroom talc sprinkled across their runs confuses them, worth a try.

At least they will smell nice!

spray bottle,,,,white vinegar and little water,,,,,,,spray where they are running ,,,the vinegar kiils any smells that ants are attracted to,make sure all areas are free of crumbs.....

use when needed till they get the message,, :-D :-D

or attract them back outside by putting something sweet away from the house,,

So you've had ants as well Rose,
I put up a thread just over a week ago....Ants....and I got a few replies which I tried...took a few days but I tried baking soda and sugar on a 2p coin.sprayed vinegar and water an rubbed skirting boards with citronella oil.
Never had ants in the house ...maybe they were too cold outside!,

Brenda I must have missed your thread, I think you are right about them being cold!

I will give the vinegar a go definitely, though I am very tempted by Merlin's suggestion :-)
