One sheep looks much like another to me. But if I see one today covered in yogurt and olive oil wearing latex gloves on hooves, I will give you a wave, Errol :-D :-D

I bet you will never know if any of these remedies work because you are not going to dab a bit of chilli THERE just to find out are you?

You should have some latex gloves handy to put on your hooves... :-) :-)

If you find chillies too hot on your tongue a bit of yogurt is very soothing.

I have not heard of it working elsewhere but it could be worth a try.

My neighbour has a lot of back trouble and her husband often has to apply embrocation to her back at night. He now knows to wash his hands afterwards too!

I have a big box of thin rubber gloves, always use them when handling things that are hot & spicy, or sloppy (like fish cakes).

WHY do we get an itchy nose when handling things like this? Murphy's law?

Olive oil? yikes!!! Try milk.

About 20 years ago I used a cream for arthritic hip joints and lower back that was supposed to be almost a miracle worker


It worked by deadening the nerve endings so pain signals were not sent to the brain.


The active ingredient was capsaicin ................... which is in all peppers.

It worked OK, no problem


UNTIL you sat in a hot bath or went under a hot shower


THEN ................................. watch out!!!!

well, the treatment for when you rub your eye(s) with chilli jice on them is ................................

I wouldn't put olive oil on it, regardless of Popeye - cos it might sizzle - I know it's supposed to be barbecue time but............................

Have never done that, but I often rub my eyes forgetting I have been chopping chillies. Not quite the yowl you must have made, but it really hurts and you can't see for ages. :-)
