I've been climbing my tree for years (at least ten). I may know a lot about my own family, but that doesn't make me a genealogy expert!

I don't subscribe to the expensive websites, I've asked for help a few times, and was helped by members who do have access to those websites. Very generous of them.

I don't know who MOANED, but he/she had no right. Those boards are for EVERYONE, expert or novice.

What a cheek. :-P

Flying Doctor ignore that person. It doesn't matter how experienced you are , everyone needs help from time to time. Anyway,

Hi Elaine,

Don't let the b*****s get you down, love, I know what it's like sometimes with high and mighty folk being unpleasant, but the majority of folk are lovely and helpful and their numbers outweigh the 'orrible ones.

keep on posting if you need help most of the people on here are wonderful
they have helped me alot dont know where i would be with my family tree if they had not helped me [not very far ]
