Glad others like the jelly cubes did anyone have a trifle with a jam roll first then the jelly over it . It tasted that bit better than a plain sponge. Any other versions always willing to learn |

We didn't have a fridge when I was small and jellies had to cool in the safe. But in my mother's day they would leave them to cool on the shady side of the house. This was where the bathroom was and so my mother made two jellies and placed them on the window sill to cool and set in the cold air. |

I use Halal jelly - the reason is because it sets quickly in any temperature and isn't so sweet as the normal classic jelly. I add loads of fruit - this time of the year it is strawberries - sometime it's frozen fruit. |

Got Hartley's jelly in my cupboard - that's in cubes. Granddaughter loved tearing the cubes apart and watching them dissolve - shame she didn't like the jelly :-D |
