Dermot

Dermot Report 3 Mar 2014 15:48

'Welsh & Cornish have had so little impact on the English language that they are less influential than Hawaiian, Turkish & Icelandic.

Welsh is 30th in the chart of languages that have lent words to English; Cornish is 45th'.

(Today's Times.) Talk tidy!

Well after a week in Wales .. Seeing Caerphilly , Cardiff, Ystrad Mynach , Carmarthen and all places in between ..and the unpronounceable village that FannybyGaslight lives in ...I can confirm that

Wales is very beautiful ...but very wet and windy ....
and I love welsh cakes and welsh lamb

cannot say the Welsh translations on this thread helped much though

Well, Fans is a rare bit, but I'm not sure eRRol would want to find her to be honest.

I've absolutely no idea how she is going ride tandem with him......her is near enough one-legged and gets saddle sore very quickly! :-D

Merlin Report 6 Sep 2013 13:27

I expect you ladies are wondering what has happened to eRRol,Well, he is contemplating (Possibly his Navel) as to how he can explain to you, how he can Ride Tandem with a Tinhat on,wearing a large Bell round his neck and holding on to his Dongle and at the same time trying to find out which is the best bit of Welsh Rarebit in the Principality. :-D :-D :-D :-D

No Renes, up norf anyway, a buttie/butty is a sandwich - any kind of sandwich.

Mind you, I know what you mean........you know-who-don't have much substance I spose. Anyway, she'd be a bit tough too.... :-D
