WALES SQUAD CUT!

Warren Gatland's Wales World Cup Rugby Training Squad have been on a 3 day intensive training camp at PARC EIRIAS, Colwyn Bay in North Wales this week.

Our Wales Boys were greeted from the train on their arrival by about 2,000 supporters.

For the first time ever, 5,000 tickets were allocated to the Rugby Supporting Public to watch the boys train at Parc Eirias.
These went like hot cakes, with more than 10,000 people applying for a ticket. So there was not an empty seat at the park.

The Coaching staff have been scrutinising the every move of our players as they fight it out for their World Cup places.

WARREN'S FIRST CUT OF THE WALES TEAM... TO BE ANNOUNCED NEXT!

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 13 Aug 2015 13:56

8 WALES PLAYERS HAVE BEEN SENT HOME FROM THE SQUAD!

Wales' Head Coach Warren Gatland has announced the first "cull" of his Rugby World Cup Squad!

AND THERE ARE SOME BIG NAMES THAT HAVE GONE......
including 3 Former BRITISH & IRISH LIONS! :-0 :-0 :-0

They are favourites...

Scrum Half MIKE PHILLIPS

Hooker RICHARD HIBBARD

and Fly-Half/ All-Rounder JAMES HOOK

It seems that our well-loved players have passed their sell-by-date :-( :-( :-(

No longer are these favourites First Choice players, but have slipped down to fourth place in the pecking order behind the newer and younger players coming in!

THIS IS VERY SAD, BUT I SUPPOSE ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END! :-(

We have to trust that Warren and his Assistant Coaches know what they are doing! :-)

THE OTHER 5 PLAYERS GOING HOME.....

JACK DIXON

RHYS PATCHELL

NICKY SMITH

DAN BAKER

and former Wales Under 20s Captain RORY THORNTON.

THE SQUAD WILL BE CUT DOWN TO THE FINAL 31 PLAYERS BY THE END OF AUGUST!
