Its from Scotlands people site and an index taken from the Parish Registers....FR2199 will how its been archived indexed.

From that time in Scotland it wasnt usual to include any parents for the bride and groom.but sometimes it has been include for the bride.

I've tried endlessly on ScotlandsPeople without success.

No marriage to a Mary Oliver. No birth certificate for Thomas. No death certificate for James.

A theory is that they had a son Thomas Turnbull c1797 and who died in 1862. And maybe Mary died or left shortly after.

I've found on 1841 Census in Hobkirk a James Turnbull aged 68 and wife Margaret aged 59 - maybe he married again?! They had around 6 children together. No Thomas Turnbull on this census - he probably lived elsewhere.

So you see I'm going around in circles at the moment

Looking for info regarding these two ancesters.

James's son Thomas born c1797 died 1862 - on his death certificate in Selkirk, Scotland, it states James and Mary are named as his parents.

Looking for info when they were born, married, died - and for other children they had.

Thanx, Charles T
