We don't tuck them in.

It appears to give us more flexibility than a duvet which I often found to be too hot or too cold.

One thing we have found is that pull them up from the bottom rather than over from the bedding thief beside you.

He sleeps under a whisp of gauze whereas I need to be totally hidden beneath a heap of bedding and I have a folded throw or two on me when it is cold.

You can buy Arctic throws but don't think they come in King size.

Dumb question..... is a throw as good as a blanket, king size, can they be tucked in?

Well Zzzzz if that's what you want get them.

I bought blankets from an Auction a few weeks ago and had them cleaned as they are all wool.

I will be using them instead of the duvet

I use blankets ,sheets and bedspread.I sleep in a king size bed and I think you can throw off clothes better in warmer weather, and get cosy in winter .

I would struggle with changing a duvet.

I believe the Queen prefers blankets as well.I use light ones I’ve had for years.think they’re called lanaircell,or something like that and they’re very light but warm.
Suit me anyway.

I use a top sheet under the duvet too. You don't have to change the quilt cover so often and in hot weather you can push the duvet down and just have the sheet over you. :-D

Well we used a king size duvet on a double bed
Hubby would hog the double duvet and wrap it around himself and get narky when I tried to pull it over cos my bum was cold

I was speaking to someone who had the same problem and she said use a top sheet

Yes that helped and one time when he fell out of the bed the top sheet still partially tucked in stopped him falling hard onto the floor . He sort of sank down

He still tried to hog but I could drag the duvet back

Plus I change the sheets weekly but the duvet cover lasts longer before needing to be changed

Still use a top sheet even though it's only me in bed

We use sheets with padded throws.

Bottom sheet tucked in, top sheet not, we add to and take off the throws as the temperature changes.

Seems like the best of both worlds.

Soon there will be a patchwork throw on top and I can't wait!

It’s too much of a struggle getting the quilts into covers even with those clips on the corners.
Does anyone else still use blankets or gone back to them?
