Happy and healthy new year to all my pals!! Hoping to be back home in about two to three weeks.

Don't know if any of you remember Victor Nokes from Northampton - he was a member on here for quite a while - the lovely guy for whom I typed up a Japanese war diary - his brothers. I also used to proof read the books he wrote. He was such a lovely man with a wicked sense of humour. Well this morning his daughter Cherie informed me that he died yesterday morning - so sad, even though he was in his nineties - I shall miss him terribly.

My sympathy on the loss of your friend Victor. May he rest in peace, he has lived a full life and left testimony to his time here. Well done to him and my sympathy to his family too
