So glad your oh is ok Allan. We are having much the same as you at the moment. Think the house is crumbling around us and most of the problems are to do with water.:( Fix one thing and something else goes wrong. :-S

what's the point of a man who cannot fix a tap and even worse the loo?
maybe that's what Bunnings does to a country.

Now I know why I live in a council house.

Alright, no benefit when you have the both enders but they do look after the plumbing and stuff.

Glad your OH is better too.

Caroline

Caroline Report 9 Feb 2018 13:35

Well we're not all married to superman and yet still happy with our lot :-)

and yes before you make comment on my husband he's more than capable of fixing both as am I as it turns out.

Yaay!

Really pleased your wife is okay. <3

It's good the tap is still under warranty - why change it yourself when you can get if done for free? ;-)

As for the loo - well, who wants a flood when you can get a plumber in? :-D

Caroline

Caroline Report 9 Feb 2018 17:41

At least it's just wet feet if you do your own plumbing and it goes wrong..

One of the problems with GR for me, and also for others, is the differences in time zones across the world.

This means that it is difficult to respond to posts at the time that they are made.

I refer to Rollo's post:

"RolloTheRed Report 9 Feb 2018 12:52

Unlike some, I have never claimed to be an expert in every single thing under the sun.

I do have my practical limitations and whilst I know the theory of laying drains, replacing loos, domestic electrical circuits and all those DIY projects you see on Reality TV, there is a big difference between theory and practice.

Oh, and also, at least in WA, only Registered Plumbers are allowed to work on drainage and water supply items. This technically extends to changing washers....the one job I am capable of doing, and have done many times

I suppose that to learn to fix loos you have to start at the bottom ;-) :-D :-D
