I have venetian blinds.
I also don't need to peek through the slats - the neighbours (opposite and next door) 'tell' me when something's occurring by 'talking' at 98 decibels!!

I surely can't be the only person to hear 'her' from next door, on a 'private' call in the garden :-S complaining because their neighbour (me) is so quiet, they don't know whether I'm in or out! :-S

That's probably because I can CLOSE a door, rather than slam it! :-|

Meant to mention this the other day. I had a bullfinch on the sunflower kernal feeder outside the kitchen window yesterday and I have never seen that before. I went to get my camera but it had gone when I walked across the kitchen so I waited and it came back but by the time the camera was on it went again. Its been on the fat tablet too. We only usually see them inthe apples trees or over the back of the bungalow in the trees.
