Why the hell are British news channels giving air time to these two murderers?

I really don't care if they have lost British citizenship and say that's unfair. So is betraying your Country and fighting for IS and killing innocents.
Parading them on MSM and letting them argue their case just attracts other lads who are looking for a 'religious mission'

Just let the authorities in the region deal with them according to local laws.

Hard to disagree with that....maybe because the TV stations are all Liberal wishy washy lost causes?

Those who claim to know their rights are often the ones abusing others' rights.

I would deal with them the same way they did with people that they murdered.

And it certainly wouldn't bother me for doing it.

Old age has allowed me to gain some helpful experiences of our world & its meandering chicanery.

Nobody, so far, can say what lies beyond the grave despite Pope Francis declaring recently that there is no Hell.

Well, they have apparently killed, amongst (many) others, 2 British Aid workers and 2 American journalists.
As far as I'm concerned, they gave up their British Citizenship when they joined IS and slaughtered innocent people.
As they've been captured by the Americans, and they've killed at least 2 Americans - let the US deal with them.

I expect these 'brave boys' - so eager to kill others, are wetting their knickers - America has the death penalty doesn't it?

Aww....shame.

Plenty of room in Guantanamo Bay for the miserable bleeders. ;-)

Only in some States. I'd put them in Guantanemo Bay!

Just like to add, they are hardly 'innocent' 16 year olds, either, they are in their late 20's/early 30's.

News is news good or bad. It won't be censored just because the people and crimes are disapproved of. If you don't like the wrong sort of news take Dermot's advice and stick to the Tablet or People's Friend.

After ww2 the defence of William Joyce to a chrage of treason rested on aquired German nationality. Tthe law lords demurred ruling that once British always British and his acquired German citizenship would not let him off the hook (or noose).

Currently the Home Secretary can only remove UK citizenship where the accused person has available another citizenship eg through parents. Where that is not the case British citizenship cannot be removed no matter what crimes are committed.

The legality of executing, by drone rocket, terrorists of UK origin where there is no declared war is extremely tenous. Where the terrorists are killed but are not themselves the target of an attack then there is no legal problem.

Given that al d'esh are now pretty much wiped out all British/US/French operations carried out in Syria without UN or Syria govt approval are probably illegal. That's what happens if you let a rat such as Putin run rings around your circus. That is why there will be no military action against the latest outrage until UK, France and USA have their ducks in a row which give them a 3/5 majority on the Security Council and nullify Putin's veto.

maggiewinchester Report 10 Apr 2018 18:02

Well, currently, with these terrorists the Government CAN and HAVE remove their UK citizenship.

Their actions were somewhat more deadly than Joyce's.

Joyce wasn't British either - he was born in America, albeit to Irish parents.
In 2016, leading human rights lawyer criticised the decision to execute Joyce, as he could not be guilty of treason given he was not a UK citizen.
The lawyer states:
'Joyce, when he made these broadcasts, was an American living in Germany.'

Joyce lied when he applied for hi UK passport.
He said he was born in Britain - which he wasn't.
His American birth certificate was shown at his trial.

By the way there are 3 of those thugs/murderers as the other one is in prison in Syria.

Hopefully the Americans who found them get to put them on trial in america and they will get LIFE and I mean life until they die in prison.

Let them swing for all I care and I would certainly take pleasure in hanging them if they can't be kept in Prison.

I know it's probably petty to moan about this but I hate that they have been called "The Beatles" and the news continues to do so. Given that the Beatles were all about peace and love it seems very inappropriate.

I watched a few minutes of the interview before turning off in disgust and I can see they weren't blessed with much intelligence or logic.

Can't say I much care what happens to them.

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 10 Apr 2018 21:34

Rollo don't be a twit please.

I am able to watch all news reports without having my moral compass inverted.

The same cannot be said of impressionable youngsters.

Allowing these two murderers the opportunity to complain about their treatment is socially dangerous, even you should be able to fathom that out. There is a reason for not allowing people charged with murder to access a public platform and our MSM know this perfectly well but choose to ignore it in order to sensationalise their 5 minutes on the subject. No possible excuse for 10 minutes of IS propaganda is there?

Caroline

Caroline Report 10 Apr 2018 22:01

It's a shame they're called the Beatles.

Well sorry to say that SKY NEWS have interviewed these butchers for an hour and a half.

THEY HAVE DENIED ALL THE **ALLEGATIONS** against them and they have said if the counsel that takes their cases on tells them to plead guilty .they will get another counsel until they have a decent counsel that believes them that they didn't do the allegations put against them.

So I would put them up against a wall ans shoot them without a trial.
They didn't give the hostages any chance so why should they.
