Satan continues to achieve some mighty underhand stuff. To Hell with him!

That makes sense...

It is supposed to ward off the devil ........... I read somewhere long ago that it originated in the crossing of the two forefingers in front of your body or face, thus forming a cross.

Cross the fingers as we now do is less obvious!

The meaning now seems to be "let it not happen", whatever "that" might be!

Exactly Barbara and Annx, I too wish them well, and, fingers crossed AND a fair wind, I THINK they'll be ok.

I have seen a few Royal weddings in my life time such a shame a few didn't last but none of us know what.s round the corner .They will make mistakes & have very happy times for sure .don't listen to other people or press & media .live your lives as you want .Good luck :-D

I had to smile Dermot at the 'for richer or poorer' in the service. If ever there was a case for leaving out the 'poorer' this was it.

Yes, good luck to them. I have a few niggles in my mind, but hopefully they will overcome inevitable difficulties.

"What's done is done"! And good luck to the newly married couple.:-D

I'm sure they will now start saving for a deposit.

Yes but 6th in -line still needs the permission of the queen.or who is in the seat at that time.

"its its ruling to the first six in line to the throne."

Kucinta Report 17 May 2018 18:12

Isn't Harry now 6th in line, Prince Louis nipping into ffith place?

Kay????

Kay???? Report 17 May 2018 17:28

The Act has been relaxed over the ensuing centuries; now, David Cameron’s Perth Agreement, which was proposed in 2011, limits its ruling to the first six in line to the throne. Coming after Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Harry is fifth in line, meaning that he will still need to ask for permission from Granny if and when the situation arises. As yet, the Queen has never formally denied a request.

Harry still needed the queens permission to marry,

Re_ Mr Markel---hes had a stent put in according to US reports ,so will speedly recover.

MM cousin is to attened the wedding as her son is a page boy. so its reported.

but then who cares......!

I do feel rather sorry for Meghan and all this flipping hooha with her family . Half Brother and Sister I think trying to get a bit of limelight, and all the issue as to whether her Dad would be there or nor. We now know he wont be here.
Weddings are stressful enough even if not a Royal Wedding . What Harry and Meghan need right now is just to be able to look forward to ' THEIR Day' on Saturday .
My Daughter has her wedding in December and it will be as special as Harry and Meghans but without all this 'angst ' (re family). Less stress being a commoner :-D :-D
