I used to support public firework displays. Since I discovered the damage they do to wildlife I'd prefer the whole primitive thing to be stopped.

My cat went out at 5pm. I hope to see him again.

For some reason our parking slot and front door are hidden by a huge pile of pushbikes while fireworks are being thrown at our windows.

Besieged.

Its lost all its meaning over the years and now not even a guy is present at displays about time to call a halt on fireworks in residential areas.

It went quiet here, about an hour ago - then some 'charmer' has just set some more off :-| :-| :-|

Edit: ..and now 'depth charges' are being set off.....

Surely it's too late?

Oh, no it isn't. They can be legally set off up until 11pm :-(

Cat got fed up standing at the door with his legs crossed !! He decided it was safe to go out but only to the side of the raised pond a few feet from the back door

He is now venturing up the path to the back gate so guess he is heading for his watering hole :-D

I doubt many people these days even know the significance of Nov 5th! These days its just an excuse to make a horrible noise, frighten people, pets, wildlife, and generally be a darned nuisance! :-(
