OH puts things on the belt in the order he prefers, the checker usually takes them off in that order, and puts them in the bag as s/he passes them over the scanner, so it usually works out OK!

I hate unpacking as the kichen is so short on storage space here.

Lidl and Aldi work really quickly now on the tills, but if I am not packed when they need me to pay, they have to wait. I know they are expected to whip things through fast now but that's their problem.

Hubby used to help me pack so with two of us we kept up with the speed as it came through . With it being just me now they have to wait

I have always stacked the food on the conveyor in a sort of order it needs packing

Have two freezer bags one for the milk and one for the dairy and frozen foods so those are together on the belt

I put the General bag open in the trolley and pack as it comes through

If I haven't finished when the operator has then she has to wait for me .

One of my hates is the next customer crowding me as I try to use my card to pay

Last week I packed and then opened my handbag that was secured in the child seat to get my store card and debit card to find the next customer in front of the card machine
I said "excuse me ." What ??? Was the rude abrupt retort. . I haven't paid yet was my reply . Ok keep yer air on was the reply !!!

So I said how rude !! You need some patience !

Please move back so I can pay in private was my retort

Lots of tuts from her and a look of sympathy from the check out lady
