I lived in a large industrial town so ground was at a premium. Didn't play netball and I would have been disadvantaged anyway. I did represent my school at hockey and rounders.

My children were at school when they hardly did any sport as it was too competitive :-\

Son was quite good at cricket and long distance running, disadvantaged at rugby, daughter good at hockey but not interested so didn't do sports as they could opt out :-0

Night Pat and Von (where did you go?) and everyone. <3 :-D

We were lucky that we had tennis courts in the village we moved to so if the school courts were occupied it was not a problem.

I was good at rounders, hated hockey and netball though; loved the gym.

My kids were very sporty so it was easy keeping them occupied. :-D

We had almost a mile to walk for our hockey/rounders pitches and no changing rooms so we were supposed to change at school and walk in our PE kit - but my friend lived opposite the field so I changed there.

We did loads at school Pat. We had lawn and hard courts which is where I began enjoying tennis.

Dtr went into dance very early and figure skating quite late (11) and eventually represented England in home internationals before quitting during A levels.

Son played cricket and tennis too .

We used to have loads of trophies ... which are now in their lofts. :-D

Good for him, nice to know he got so good. I enjoyed playing sport, the WRAF gave me a chance at different sports.

Pat, my son was junior state champion. I stopped playing then as I had a toddler daughter by then.
