Decidedly cool here - long cardie this morning for coffee.

One of our number was coughing and spluttering - the second one to do so recently - so I am keeping my fingers crossed. :-0

Washer's on and I may hunker down in front of the box this arvo as I have a few things to catch up on. Such a hard life ... :-D :-D :-D

I forgot to say that my DNA has been re-tested for the second time.

I still have 2% Swedish in me but no Norwegian.

15% Ireland and Scotland, primarily located in Ireland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and Scotland including the Outer Hebrides.

83% England, Wales and NW Europe along with a more specifically defined Cheshire, Merseyside, South Lancashire and Isle of Man (again!), the latter I had long suspected because I know that there is a project on surnames originating in the IOM going on in the IOM and my ancestor has one such name.

So it looks as though my 96% British is now 98% which includes a touch of Belgium and the Channel Islands which obviously accounts for the extra 2%.

Not many islands left around the British Isles for me to drag out rellies from. :-D

I can't decide whether that is good or bad.

True island blood? Did we in-breed or were we exclusive? My mind is boggled at the thought of it. :-D ;-) :-S

For some reason they have included Belgium and Channel Islands in England, Wales and NW Europe, adding an extra 2% to the previous figure!

I would have loved some DNA from the Scilly Isles (it's so nice there) to add to my island blood. :-D

I'm not predominantly Scottish any more :-S

But I've gained 9% Norway and me French has increased to 13% :-D

There are some nice cards this year, Emma. I've sent all but one of my overseas cards (kept from last year's stock) and I'm looking for the rest of them now. A couple of stores have some just made for me ... 'Joy' on the front! :-D

And some Christmas paper saying Dec the halls with Joy :-D ;-)
