You wait until I get into this jar of snacking garlic. It won't just be the breath that stinks of it.

Caroline

Caroline Report 27 Jan 2020 00:50

In that case, I hope you got up close to as many people as possible and breathed all over them :-D

Oh yes, the ferry.

I think they must be doing refurbs or something because they were running one of the Lymington ferries on the Fishbourne route. Bloody uncomfortable, metal arms on seats, not padded ones, one lavatory and the door would not lock

Rain tipped down all the time we were there so we tried to get on an early ferry but they were booked up. Best they could do was 5.15 instead of 6.15. It was about twenty minutes late, had to take the longer route because of low water.

They announced that there was a birthday on board and it wasn't me, it was one of the millions of teenaged boys who were milling about on board.

It was the sharing meze platter. Flat bread, garlic bread, hummus, garlic stuffed olives, cous cous, garlic mushrooms, battered cauliflower, few chips, pickled garlic beetroot, pickled garlic, garlic mayo, sweet chilli sauce. Think that is it.

Then there was the creme brulee and we shared some garlic and dark chocolate ice-cream with it.

Pint of Wight lager and a pot of tea.

what was the sumptuous lunch then??

Sharron

Sharron Report 26 Jan 2020 20:25

not much really, a jar of snacking garlic for me and one for one of the old biddies, a bunch of garlic for another of the old biddies, some cheese for me with garlic and nettles and a piece for the woman I always buy a bit of interesting cheese for.

I did have a pretty sumptuous lunch though. Yum,yum, yum.
