Thank you to everyone who participated in this thread, although it was more than a little different this year.

Hopefully it will be back to normal next year.

Dont forget there is a Christmas edition, with I think past winners.

I am dead chuffed Bill won. I think he was very cool and calm all the way through it, but he got on with all the hard work, and it paid off.

Well done Bill. :-)

I agree with you re Jamie, Ann, I don't get why the judges kept him in over Ranvir.

I read that Craig had said he thought Bill would be the 'Ann Widdecombe novelty act' - as did I. It seems Bill gives his all to whatever comes along. What a great bloke! :-D

It was a good show and, as you said Belle was a bright couple of hours in a really rotten year, and for many hopefully it helped the disappointment of a spoiled family Christmas. Certainly a year that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. I really didn't mind who won as they were all good, well except I was not keen on Jamie but any of the other three were worthy winners and it was so good to see that it is not impossible for an older person to win because, although the public loved Bill, if he had been really rubbish he would not have got through. The other two are young and will be able to use their talents in ways that they want to in the future so, well done them.

Congratulations Bill, just hope he doesn't suffer too much for overusing all those muscles.

When I found out that the winner came from the people's vote it had to be Bill or HRVY :-)

Have to say though very pleased Bill won :-). I loved their showdance...fancy choosing Tango and Pasa Doble :-0

Not necessarily the best dancer on the night but I'm pleased that the people voted for one of the most improved....Bill had certainly come a long way :-)

I think Oti's choreography was brilliant on all three of the dances :-)

Well done to the others and the Beeb for brightening up our Saturday evenings during this truly miserable year <3

I'm really pleased that Bill won :-D my favourite from the start.

I thought Harvey would win though.

Kay Report 19 Dec 2020 23:21

Awww, poor HRVY, bless him.

Von Report 19 Dec 2020 21:13

Believe it or not I gave all my votes to Bill not expecting him to win but so pleased

he did :-D :-D :-D

The others were brilliant of course

LindainHerriotCountry Report 19 Dec 2020 20:41

Well, I didn’t think Bill would win. I thought Hrvy would get the popular vote.
Maisie danced very well and in a normal year would be straight to the West End.

The Village is tasteful! :-D :-D :-D ;-)

We have twinkling lights in Town. They are left up all year 'round.

Lets hope we have some twinkling toes tonight.

Island

Island Report 18 Dec 2020 22:50

:-D :-D MtG. Gawd, that takes me back - those strings of bare white light bulbs festooned across the street, sorry, 'village'. It's like Blackpool where we are now :-0 :-0 It raises a smile after the naff year we've all had though.

Kay

Kay Report 18 Dec 2020 22:46

Agree totally with AnninGlos. My fingers will be tightly crossed for HRVY, as a previous non-dancer, plus the fact he seems such a nice young man.

MotownGal Report 18 Dec 2020 18:58

TBH I am not sure about the lights, although I am going through there on Monday.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 18 Dec 2020 12:52

How did you know Island. :-D ;-)

I shall be sitting under the Canopy, under the strings of white light bulbs, peering into The Angel. ;-)

Island

Island Report 18 Dec 2020 11:57

Rug and thermos MtG? You wanna get your own tele then you won't have to sit in your folding chair watching through the neighbours window LOL :-D

We always record progs then we can whizz through the chaff :-D

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 18 Dec 2020 11:52

Dont forget it begins at 6pm tomorrow.

I think it will be a long haul.

Dont forget the rug for your knees, and a thermos. ;-) ;-)
