My Mum was placed in an orphanage age 4 or 5 her Mum went to Australia and left my mum here, and didn't come back.

Mum never spoke of her Mother but she did have an Aunt, Uncle and cousins visit her often, her half Brother in Australia didn't know about her until I told him, he as age 68 at the time.
