I agree these women should not have been out protesting or doing a vigil, there is a pandemic in the real world and laws need to be adhered by... :-|

Problem is, no matter how many 'checks' there are on people - be they DBS or whatever, if they've never been caught before, they'll pass!

That probably is not really very relevant at the moment. Whether she should have been out at night or not, she was in equal danger and that does need to be addressed but not while we are trying to avoid a third upturn in infection rates of Covid.

I very much doubt she is his first victim either and there certainly needs to be some investigation as to how he managed to be accepted into the police, that is, if the an who is being held is the man who perpetrated the murder.

Just a thought - it was reported that Sarah did live alone and as such was entitled to be in a bubble with a friend. That could well have been the case in which case she would not have been breaking any lockdown rules.

The world would be a mighty boring place if we all thought the same. I often disagree with some posts but to each there own and ignore them . There is no need for nasty or insulting comments as a few on here I could think of are always doing.

I too wondered why she was visiting a friend when we are in lockdown, but didn’t like to ask in case I would be jumped on. The terribly sad thing is that if she had followed the Covid restrictions she would still be alive, but then if the man was looking for a victim, he may have chosen someone else
I think if the organisers had been given permission for the event to go ahead, even more people would have turned up. Their vision of peacefully socially distanced people was never going to work out.

It was as they were as they were refused permission and chose to ignore it.

So, I would think that vigil was civil disobedience.

Being a womens' protest, they behaved correctly by asking permission but didn't like the answer so they did it anyway.

The football crowd would not have bothered with asking but just turned up.

If you ask permission and then go ahead when it is denied, then, of course, you are being disobedient because you know you are doing what you should not.
