LIONS CAPTAIN ALUN-WYN JONES' IS INJURED OUT!

The TROJAN that is AWJ has finally been felled!
Wales' Alun-Wyn Jones sustained a DISLOCATED shoulder soon after the beginning of yesterday's Warm Up Game v Japan at Murrayfield, which has ended his Captaincy.
Also, because of Covid rules, he could not (as Sam Warburton did in the past) travel as a non-playing Captain

This was Big Al's 4th Lions Campaign and at 35 years of age was his last. This is so sad :-(


*CONOR MURRAY (Ireland) IS TO TAKE OVER THE CAPTAINCY*

This is the world-class Scrum Half's 3rd Lions Tour.
32 year old Conor has beaten both OWEN FARRELL (England) and STUART HOGG (Scotland) to this honour.

Justin "Tips" Tipuric, who was a last minute replacement for the concussed HAMISH WATSON (Scotland) in the Starting XV yesterday, also sustained a shoulder injury. The injury has also ended his Lions Tour 2021.

Eve is eleven today. We FaceTimed this morning before school, but they will ring again when it is time for the birthday cake, so I wIll disappear then, though the tv will be on silent. She had her party at the weekend, her best friend is two days younger than she is, so they always have a joint party. They went to an escape room in the town centre and had a really good time

Yes, it's actually much warmer today. I've managed to dry my washing outside but occasionally it looks like it's threatening to rain!

It has been very nice here. I went for a walk this afternoon and picked up a large bag of litter
