THE SAGA OF J :-0

Night before last J relapsed with whatever the infection is that was giving him freezing hands and feet and boiling head.

So, I called the GP surgery at 8.30. 9 am a woman GP rang and said I should bring him to see her at 12.30.

She was lovely. J had a slight temperature and she said something is obviously going on and gave him very strong penicillin based antibios. She warned us that his stomach may be a little upset but they would kill any infection.

We then had to go for him to have a chest X Ray in the hospital.

When we eventually got home and had food, I gave him his first antibio.
Within minutes he was running to the loo. And being sick at the same time. This went on for a long time. Then his legs and arms went very red with some white blotches and his face was puce.

After a few back and fore phone calls to the GP she said to ring 999 for an ambulance.J was horrified cos he did NOT want to go in.

The ambulance lady said that it would be at least 4 hours before they could come and could I take him to Carmarthen.. I said not really cos he can't get off the toilet.
She phoned back half an hour later and triaged me after I'd given J an antihistamine tablet.

It eventually eased and his skin went back to nearly normal. So he didn't have to go in after all

It was the colour of his skin that frightened them all. Especially with all his blood conditions
