I have only watched a handful of times and not for very long, Emma.

I know they’re all doing their best but every time I have watched (when K has it on), I can’t help feeling sorry for those athletes who would have peaked last summer and, through no fault of their own, they have been unable to represent their countries, win medals, or make money from sideline activities because their names will never become known to us.

I’ve given my head a shake but it’s stuck there! :-S

I know what you mean Joy but money should not come into it.

Every thing centres around money, sponsors etc.

To me they represent their country so their country should fund their efforts.

I believe £24 million for rowing team really?

We send millions to countries to support their poor, why, when they already
have millions of their own and can support their people.
