Hard to believe but it is nearly that time again, for the new Season of Strictly.

The judges will again be, Craig, Shirley, Motsie and Anton.

Four new dancers will join the line up of professionals. They are Vito Coppola, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley and Michelle Tsiakkas.

The contestants this year will be added as they are announced. So far we have.

Will Mellor - Actor, Hollyoaks and Line of Duty.

Kym Marsh - Singer Hearsay, actress Corrie.

Kaye Adams - Broadcaster and Loose Women

Ritchie Anderson - Radio 2 Breakfast Host.

Jayde Adams - Comedienne, Actress and Author.

Ellie Simmonds - Paralympic Gold Winning Swimmer

Tyler West - Kiss FM, DJ

Matt Gos - Singer

Ellie Taylor - Comedienne, appears regularly on 8 out of 10 Cats

Molly Rainford - Singer and Actress

Helen Skelton - Presenter TV

Tony Adams - England and Arsenal former Captain

Fleur East - Singer

Hamza Yassin - Countryfile presenter

James Bye - Eastenders


Both Will Mellor and Kym Marsh have been in musicals on the West End stage previously.

Anyone wishing to add to this thread when the competion proper begins, will be more than welcome. <3

I can see that Ellie would be ok dancing dances where she isn't held by her partner but how will that work for waltzes etc :-S. I'm sure the Beeb will have a plan perhaps they will get a pro of a similar height for this series :-)

The launch show was supposed to be this Saturday 17th September. Due to the passing of the Queen it has been rescheduled to next Friday, 23rd.

The first show proper will be on Saturday 24th September.

Launch show tonight on BBC1 at 7pm.

Rose and Gio will be appearing. <3

If I'm correct the Launch Show this evening is recorded and the first live show is tomorrow night :-)

I have not checked that out Belle. I am desperate for something decent to watch on saturday evenings, I am running out of recorded old Midsummer Murders, Morse and Lewis!! Plus a smattering og George Gently. Lol!!

Season 20 will now kick off with the pre-recorded launch show on Friday 23rd September, followed by the first live show on Saturday 24th September.

The Launch Show was due to be shown on Sat, 17 Sep but was delayed out of respect for The Queen.

Thanks Belle. Yes I watched it. Some I know some I don’t a mixed bunch and two single sex couples.

And yes MTG a long one this evening. I prefer it when we get further in to it but it is good to have something to watch.

I think there has been some definite over marking tonight. Some of them seem really high for the first week, but it looks like it will be a good series.

Well that was a good, if bum-numbing stint. I agree with Linda, I thought some of them were over-marked.

Sadly, maybe Tony will be out. Dancing is nothing like footie, even though they both involve feet. I felt he was very nervous, and when he made the first mistake, it threw him.

Will was very good. Although I believe he has appeared in the West End in a musical.

Everyone being back to form, with Craig doing his maiden aunt impression, and Anton being more like Len than ever.
