I liked it when the dancers all applauded The Queen at the end of the opening sequence <3

If it had come to a dance off Tyler would have won it hands down :-). I wonder if it will buck Tyler's ideas up because I think over the last couple of weeks his dances have been lacking compared to the others especially as he was so good earlier on :-0. Perhaps he has reached his peak, I hope not :-)

Tony did seem a genuinely nice guy and he was popular with the others :-). I guess we'll never know what influenced his massive fan base to desert him :-0

I agree the opening was lovely. Also the photo of the late Queen was very fitting.

Always sad to see someone go, but it was the right decision.

Yes loved the opening sequence beautiful, respectful and touching.

It was an anti climax, I was pleased to see him in the dance off, then... nothing. I had not noticed him looking in pain on Saturday but, I assume he was actually in the bottom two. wonder if he had emailed his fans before the vote so that they didn't vote for him. we will never know but at least it meant Tyler went through to Blackpool. And it will make more sense now. He did seem a nice fellow though and popular with the other celebrities and professionals.

Well, that was a bit of an anti climax :-0. Although, I do recall Tony holding his left hamstring after the live show :-(

It's always sad when someone leaves the dance floor but it was Tony's time. I wonder what happened to his massive following :-0

I have to say the opening sequence was absolutely spot on.... a lovely remembrance, beautifully choreographed and danced <3

I had a quick catch up this morning, and skipped through all the blah, blah, blah.

I really like Tyler as a dancer, but I thought his Paso was a bit stompy.

Fleur was great, and I also liked Helen. Ellie is having the time of her life so it seems. When she first began the prog I didnt think she would get this far, but she has come on really well.

Tony may well be kept in again, in one of the local papers, there is a concerted effort by the fans to keep him in. Shame really, if it means a better dancer will go.

No idea at all who will go this week. :-S

I don't think they are going to let Tony go Belle. When I read about it a few weeks back they were gloating and the aim seemed more about skewing the results than keeping Tony in.

I loved will's waltz but that was more personal because of the song and it was a bad memory day for me but I actually thought he did very well. Hamza is just great, his character shines through and I love those lifts.

I am not keen on Molly but I did like her Rumba (and I don't normally like the dance either)
I liked Fleur as well.

I thought Tyler's shirt off dance was more of an intentional look at me vote catcher and was not that keen on his dance.

Goodness knows who caught the eyes of the public this week they are now coming forward with the sob stories which seems to catch some votes.

Of course it should be tony. He has actually improved and should be proud of himself for that but he is way behind everyone else. He is likeable though.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 13 Nov 2022 07:39

Well, it certainly is getting difficult now :-0

My favourite of the evening was Molly's Rumba. I don't normally like the Rumba and I sometimes find Molly to be very litte girlish but boy was that a grown up dance :-D

I also liked Fleur's Samba, it sure was hot, hot, hot :-D :-D

I thought Ellie's Charleston was fun and she certainly looked like she enjoyed it :-D

Hamza did really well again and as for those those lifts for a celeb to do them was brilliant :-D

I haven't been a fan of Will but his Waltz was very good and he did seem to be leading :-D

So the four I wasn't too keen on were Helen, Tyler, Kym and Tony :-(

If Tony had danced that Jive in week 2 I think everyone would have said it was good but we are now half way through the show and everyone else is dancing so much more better :-)

I think it should be Kym and Tony in the dance off :-(. I just hope it's not Molly and Fleur :-0. I do hope the Arsenal fans let Tony go, it would be awful if it was one of the others :-( :-(

Thanks Belle.

It looks like Blackpool is on 19 Nov, AnnG :-)

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 7 Nov 2022 09:40

I think you may be talkng about John Sargeant, Ann. He knew he was not as good a dancer and eventually counted himself out.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 7 Nov 2022 09:11

Yes I felt sad for Ellie, she was really enjoying the dancing and being among so many new friends who genuinely loved her.

I am not sure if my memory serves me right here but once before when somebody was kept in undeservedly by the public, they said they would resign from the competition. they didn't but it would be a shame if this pact among Tony's football supporters, who reportedly would never normally even watch strictly, kept him in when really good dancers had to leave. It makes a mockery of the competition, which I believe, is their intention. In the report I read they actually said they would be able to get him awarded the glitter ball. It is a shame because he is genuinely a nice fellow and much liked by the other celebrities. But if he is not deemed by others than this huge group of people from football teams to deserve to stay in. It will actually smear his name through no fault of his own.

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 7 Nov 2022 08:06

It seems to be the same old story year after year sadly. A supposedly popular dancer is saved over a better dancer.

Remember a couple of years ago it was Dan that was kept in while others were eliminated.

Ellie was so gracious but genuinely upset, I was sitting crying for her. She was a real trooper.

And so we go on to another week.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 7 Nov 2022 06:51

Well, I didn't see that coming :-0 :-0

I think though, out of two, the correct couple won :-). As Craig would say Molly's dance was "gawgus" :-D. I really do think they danced their Foxtrot better than Saturday :-D

As always I really felt for the losers :-(. Especially as I don't think they deserved to be in the dance off :-(. Well done, Ellie you did yourself proud :-)

The cameras caught a glimpse of Katya and Tony who both looked genuinely shocked and saddened, I think they both knew it should have been them :-(

I hope moving forward the voting isn't going to become a farce and more good dancers exit at the expense of Tony & Katya :-(. Of course, if Tony dances well then he should keep his place on Strictly but he danced diabolically last Saturday and when you get to this stage of the competition you should only stay in on merit :-)

Did they say last night it was two weeks to Blackpool?

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 6 Nov 2022 08:34

What a shame about Tyler, he did try so hard. I particularly liked the good go the singer gave to These Arms of Mine, a classic Otis.

Wow Kym went all out on her Argentine Tango, even when the music stopped they were still in the moment. Fab!

I agree with Ann, Tony will probably be kept in by the fans, he had Ian Wright supporting him last night. His old team mates are turning up each week.

Hamza, Ellie, Mollie and Helen all very good too.

Dont know who will go, but we are half way there already.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 6 Nov 2022 07:46

I can't help but agree with you Belle, except I have an idea that Tony's army will keep him out of the dance off.

I did really like Kym's Argentine Tango and thought Helen was really good, so dainty on her feet. and I always like Hamza. It is starting to get more difficult now. But sadly, the Viennese Waltz was not Tyler's dance

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 6 Nov 2022 07:35

My three favourites this week were in no particular order ;-)

Hamza. He doesn't have the physic of a dancer but he certainly does give it his all and he looked the part, loved his Cha Cha Cha :-D

Kym. I'm a sucker for an Argentine Tango and they certainly did it justice, very steamy :-0 :-D

Helen. So nimble on her feet and didn't look out of breath at all, normally the Celebs look like they need oxygen at the end of a Jive routine. :-D

Others did well too like Molly and Fleur:-D

I didn't think Ellie & Johannes Rumba wasn't as bad as their scores but I suppose as we are at the half way stage the Judges need to be more critical :-0

Tony, bless him, went backwards this week but he is such a good sport :-D

I love Tyler dancing but the Viennese Waltz just wasn't his dance :-(

So who will be in the dance off :-0. I think it should be Tyler and Tony with Tyler to go through but hey who knows ;-) :-D
