Your home-grown veg. sounded wonderful.

I used to be pleased when Dad decided it was time to dig the 1st root of our potatoes. My sister and I loved to gather the new crop and then Mum would scrape them for dinner.
I never bother and taught my own family to enjoy them with the skins on. ;-)

Gwyn, there's something satisfying about scraping new spud if the skin comes off easily :-D I remember serving up unscraped spuds for my parents years ago and mother sat picking away at them :-0

When we were walking our dogs vans descended on The Park to clear all the rubbish up, they even had leaf blowers :-0
