Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:52

Thanks <3

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:51

I thought so…I think I sent you a photo unknowingly…and you mentioned it. Someone posted a pic today on my timeline.

Will send

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:50

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:49

He will be one of many Von :-(

Did you tell me your family lived in Bethnal Green…or did I make that up

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:47

They are still working at Euston causing mayhem and the train isn’t even going there now. :-( :-(

The farmer I was talking about hasn’t had his compensation :-| :-|

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:43

I know…the last attack was on 3 pregnant Ewes :-( :-(

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:42

HS2 has a lot to answer for…..a complete utter shambles….and the ruin of many peoples lives…they should hang their heads in shame :-(

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:42

That’s terrible Ann. Some dog owners are so irresponsible :-| :-|

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:40

There have been attacks by dogs on sheep in our County recently….all fatal

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:37

We could do with some to slow the traffic here. Before HS2 got their hands on the land

there were sheep on a local farm :-( :-(

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:34

They were left to roam free on our mountain….they used to walk in the middle of the roads etc :-D :-D

They were sadly fair game for dogs and traffic in the 50’s :-(

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:31

My uncle had them on his small holding but they roamed the Preseli Mountains :-D

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:28

I grew up surrounded by them..smelly things :-0 :-0

However I do remember Mum opening our cottage door one morning and there was a newborn under the bay window <3

Von Report 25 Feb 2024 19:26

Are you going to get one Ann :-D :-D

**Ann** Report 25 Feb 2024 19:25

In the 1920s and 1930s, sheep were routinely introduced into London parks to keep the grass under control and reduce mowing costs. Shepherds competed for the privilege of grazing their flocks on Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Clapham Common, and other pastures around the city.

Sheep are like a lawn care multi-tool. As they cut your grass, they also aerate the lawn with their hooves and spread fertilizer in the form of urine and manure. Sheep don’t require gasoline and oil changes, and although they are certainly not maintenance-free, grass-fed sheep are a sustainable alternative to lawnmower.

George Donald once brought his flock all the way down from Aberdeen, Scotland. Considering the difficulty involved in transporting hundreds of sheep over 500 miles, this caused a bit of consternation in Parliament.

Sir Harry Brittain asked, “Were not any English sheep available?” Though these woolly lawnmowers were eventually barred from grazing in the city in the late 1950s, they have recently experienced a resurgence. In 2010, sheep were introduced to Hampstead Heath as an eco-friendly alternative to machine mowing. :-D :-D :-D
