Sunny with a cool breeze here. Hopefully the bit of washing I've hung out will dry before the weather changes.

My son has a trade stand at a Steam Fayre for the weekend, so I have access to the computer all day so may just catch you all tonight. Usually you have all disappeared by the time I get to use the computer on an evening :-)

Where is the Steam Fayre, Kath?

Yes, it is lovely round there Joy. We quite often have a drive out in the Dales and a nice place to stop for food or just coffee and cake is the Dales Bike Centre near Reeth. The cafe there is lovely :-D

K had ancestors from Muker and Reeth, Kath, so we often had a mooch around the area.

I don’t know the Bike Centre but I recall having lunch in a walkers hotel in Reeth. We approached it over a bridge. The road turned immediately left then but (if my memory serves me right) the hotel faced you as you went over the bridge.

I wonder whether that place is still open - I shall have to Google it.

Hi Joy, was it The Bridge Inn at Grinton, Reeth do you think? If so we know a couple who used to work there maybe about 15 years ago. They now live in Billingham and own a small Bistro not far from us.
