It'll be a back ache day for me as I have beans and toms to plant.

Have watered the plants already this morning, so they do not scorch in the sun. Really warm last night, so feel a bit jaded to be honest :-(

Have filled a couple of hot water bottles with cold water and put them in the freezer so they will be a welcome addition in bed tonight :-D

Sounds like you are getting ready for a bumper crop. :-)

What type of tomatoes do you grow.?

Dad used to like Alicante, but they also grew the old favourite Moneymaker.

Have done a wash load and refilled the bird bath, so next thing, before it gets too hot is to go looking for a replacement microwave.

Will steer clear of the coast-bound motorway and won't venture near Dover :-0

It was cloudy here this morning but it is getting brighter by the minute..18 degrees here so pleasantly warm.

You all put me to shame. I didn't wake up until 8 o'clock and I still haven't ventured downstairs yet. It takes me a good hour and a half to get organised with showering, washing my hair, cleaning my teeth, making the bed etc. and that wears me out so I have to have a sit down before I go downstairs :-)

I might think about running the vacuum cleaner round or then again I might not :-D

Had the windows open very early trying to capture some cool air. The blinds are now drawn at the back as it is south facing :-0

As a matter of necessity I have to do some ironing :-0. My fault for putting it off :-(

Fly, I whizzed outside in my slipper socks to put my table and chair under shelter at 9-30 last night as laptop said 'rain in 2.5 hours. Don't know if it did.

Currently the temperature is 27 degrees outside ;-) ;-)

The family came at crack of sparrows to help us move some stones prior to a

makeover on our front garden.They did it in next to no time so we had plenty of time

to chat.

I think this afternoon I might relax indoors ;-)

Still 28 degrees here, but cooler indoors, where we have had the curtains closed for much of the day and the windows on the south side shut.

Renewed on this site for another 12 months :-D

Fun today watching a family of young squirrels in the garden. I think there are 3 youngsters.
They are still exploring and seeing just where they can climb to.
One tried to climb the stone birdbath, but gave that up as a bad job.
I was surprised to see one running along the outside kitchen windowsill, their bushy tail bigger than their small body :-D

Popping in and out tonight.

My friends daughter phoned me earlier to say she had passed away. Which was a shock to me.
