Some were artists, although I didnt recognise any names, and other by celebs. I would think they will be auctioned off like the others when the World cup is over.

Still cannot quite believe she is not with us. I keep thinking she will send us a picture of old London. She must have trawled the net to find them. :-D <3

We were watching a DVD the other night. It showed the London skyline. Crikey has it changed. The tallest building by the Thames was St Pauls :-D :-D

I can't either, I do miss her <3 Yes, some of the photos she found were really obscure, all were interesting though :-)

Spitalfields has not changed much, leading up to Petticoat Lane. Also the Leadenhall Market has a charm about it.

It has changed, so much has been done around where the old docks were.....I wonder what the people from back then would think of it now :-D

I can remember me mum and dad taking me up Petticoat Lane .....wasn't there an american indian with a parrot there :-D :-D

Canary Wharf was a novelty when it first opened, but that is a bit jaded now. The London Museum there is not bad, if a bit small

My Dad had an uncle who had a shop up there, that sold canaries. :-)

LondonBelle

This is who I was thinking of

Prince Monolulu: A famous, flamboyant racing tipster and street character. Wearing an ostrich-feather headdress, he famously wandered the market yelling, "I've gotta horse!" to draw in crowds.

:-D :-D :-D

So was the shop selling canaries in Canary Wharf or Petticoat Lane :-D
