It's warm here with blue skies but there is rain forcast for later..

Not caught up with myself this morning. I was rudely woken up by son so I could phone the doctors at 8am for a telephone appointment. The receptionist said the doctor would phone about 9.10am so I thought I would have time to get showered and ready. The phone rang just as I was getting out of the shower at 8.30am saying the doctor wanted to see me and could I be there for 9am. Now that might seem plenty of time for some of you young ones but I take ages to get myself ready on a morning. Consequently I had to do my best to "rush" and had to go straight downstairs and out of the front door with no drink or breakfast. I'm still trying to sort my head out!

I have to have a different blood test next week along with the others to check for heart failure and a chest X-ray tomorrow because of my cough. This is why I try to stay away from the doctors if I can because it opens a whole new can of worms.

My parents rarely went to the docs. Dad would say 'they always have to find something wrong' so stayed away. 92 wasn't a bad age for someone who stayed away :-D

Maddie, the actual procedure was bledy awful but the aftermath, with the help of Ibuprofen, is not as bad as I thought it was going to be, must be because the wound is closed :-)
