Better now Dee - he did arrive! at 9.30am - soon bits all over the drive Cursed and groaned as he dismantled the innards of the boiler - which all looked mangled! Down and up the stairs, double bent from the loft to the kitchen he went Eventually at 7pm, he'd done it I'm glad to say For now we have full heating again hip, hip hooray!!

Patience is something we do really need Please everybody do take heed Question for Dorothy, did he turn up Or do you still need to get wrapped up Remember Ultra Vox? Chrispy I do so well They recorded Vienna, I do hear tell So Nolls, you had the children round Hope that now your head doesn’t pound There’s Carol and Merle still struggling on In support of this thread of our mate Ron Unless I’m mistaken Jeff ‘s plugged up his ears He’s hoping all this screeching won’t end in tears Very well Jeff, I’ll try not to shout Especially when my friends are about

DorothyG Report 18 Feb 2007 20:52

You may be right Chrispy, a new thread may be the answer, cos this one is like lead Zealously plodding away to get here to say hello to everyone dear And we are shivering home here today, as the boiler went kerklumk yesterday Both cats keep looking at us and we've told them the heating is bust Crossed fingers tomorrow its fixed the plumber's diagnosis was very mixed Don't want to think about that perhaps I'll wrap myself in a cat!

Urgently request Ron to sort this out Then I won't have to frown and pout. Very sorry to see Carol had been feeling blue Carol, I send a big hug to you. We might have to start a new rhyming thread Leave this one and start a new one instead. X is the last letter of fox and box. Do you remember Ultra Vox?

Quite amusing Dee my dear Plugs stuck in each rhymster's ear. Really, one musn't screech so loud Or one might frighten away this crowd. So tone it down a little Dee If you decide to screech at me. Then I won't have to block my lugs With those fancy ear plugs.

Dee the Bibliomaniac

Dee the Bibliomaniac Report 18 Feb 2007 10:53

Oh Ron, you know I'll be here to feel the breach but if you're not back soon we will all screech Perhaps some earplugs you will need cos we can screech very loud indeed ;-))

Usually this thread is very quick now all it does is stop and stick Very annoying it really is am usually in quite a fizz Wonder second thread would do the trick then it might go rather quick X-pect Ron to sort it out he can sort things without a doubt You say we keep you sane Chrispy dear think I've heard you wrong I fear Zany are the lines we write so to you all I'll say Good Night

Really glad to see you haven't all gone away. Why has this thread slowed down, it seems to take all day. So glad to see Merle popped back, Hi Merle from Albany. You do live a long way from us, over the sea. 'Tis good to see you all, Carol back again Talking to you all really keeps me sane.

Lots of waiting needed Dorothy my dear Must show a little patience Til the pages, they appear. Nothing we can really do Except give a little time. Only thing we can do If we want to add a rhyme. Patience is a virtue So the saying goes. Quietly we must practice it Until the page, it shows.

Every time I click on here It seems to take an age. Forever sat here waiting Just to change the page. Got to get a rhyme on Or else the thread won't run. Hope it soon speeds up again Then we can have some fun.

Am I the only one who cannot load a page Without it taking an absolute age. But all the other threads seem to load in a trice But this thread takes forever which isn't very nice. Could it be that our thread is very long I only wondered for a while but surely that is wrong. Does anyone have the answer to this query? Now I am off to watch TV because I am feeling weary.
