ours is still ok. nearly two years old now, and so long as you use a mattress cover to keep it clean, and air the mattress weekly (i.e. leave it uncovered for a few hours when you change the linen and mattress cover) it should last, I have just turned ours top to bottom, do it every six months, but you can't turn them over. It is very warm and definitely high, you almost need one of those plastic steps to get into it, but nice and comfy altho it hasn't helped my fm sleep problems any. Liz Ours was from Bensons beds (I think, or Rosebys, do they do beds?) and in May 2005cost £500 = special offer with a duvet thrown in and interest free credit too. By the way, you will need deeper-sided fitted sheets as the mattress is much deeper than our old one was so the sheets don't fit well. |

nudging this for anyone thinking of getting a memory foam mattress. Ours is still fine after 16 months use. Liz |

nudging for Joy - we have had this bed for around 9 months now and it is still very comfortable - I remove the mattress cover ( which is essential to keep the mattress fresh) every time I change the bedding and air the cover and leave the mattress uncovered for a while so it can air too. I agree with Sue, it is definitely a bed that needs a ladder to get into and I am 5' 6' but it is very snuggly altho it makes you quite warm, you won't need such a heavy duvet on top of you if you are in one of these beds. Ours is a Slumberland and they are on sale for around what we paid, £550. Most stores do an exchange offer if you don't find it comfy. One point I will make is that normal sheets might not fit as the mattresses are extra deep. |
