Yes that is right, we have a couple who read for us, we hope they will eventually join us as writers.

I have received your e mail addy Stella I will send you out a list of the groups emails tomorrow. On my I pad at the moment and not so easy to do as the desk top.

If you look back a page or so you can see the suggested assignments for the 2 weeks ending 12th July but you can send in anything if you don't want to be guided by suggestions.

I still have the poem (pinned onto notice board) you gave me permission to print out.....'I was looking at you'.....about your pet dog,always makes me smile. :-)

it's all light reading, nothing too heavy as i know people want to smile.

As you will have gathered Stella.. I am "just" a reader... a writer I am not... Maths was my best subject at school.

I don't mind how long your stories, poems, ditties etc are.

There is a NZ book about life in early NZ and the author, a woman tells how her father would not allow the girls to read, they were to be maids, servants, housewives and had no business educating themselves. As they could not afford wallpaper they had newspaper on the walls and she read everyone of them.

I don't eat cucumber at all.. horrible stuff. I hate it when people say oh just take the cucumber out.. huh !!! it taints the butter. Can tell if a sandwich has had cucumber in it at five paces.

Perse, Lol, cucumber actually has a distinctive smell. I like it though but can understand how it taints the butter.

You are not 'just' a reader Perse, our readers are very important as they can give a good opinion of what the rest of us write.

Your story goes to show that those who like reading will read anything. But how sad to deny children books.

Hi Persephone, the importance of writing is to be creative and sometimes to just deal with emotions but for me the greatest joy is in sharing and so readers are very special people who help us by giving feed back.. :-)
