If I had kept all the birthday club ones in the could be 10 (not sure how many) years I have been receiving them I wouldn't be able to move in here. I do usually keep them about a year so i can look back on them. :-)

I have changed the title slightly as I think quite a few people are into adult colouring books. I find I don't just stay with one book, I keep seeing books with designs I like better. I bought two more on holiday although have yet to buy one of the more expensive ones. One I bought was £3.99 in Smiths and another was £2 instead of £2.99 on a market stall. So I now have 4 or 5 different books to choose from. I am hoping to incorporate some of the finished pictures into my card making or scrap booking but I shall see if that is possible.

I'm going to the Big Scrapbooking and Stamping Exhibition at Ally Pally on Saturday.
My list is so long I think I'll need to take the case on wheels :-D

Ooh lucky you Pammy. Are you card making? I can't remember what craft you do. I managed to spend over £20 in a smallish Hobbycraft shop this morning so I hope you have your credit card ready! Have a lovely spend!!

Thanks Ann
It's so easy for one thing to lead to another in Hobby craft.
Yes I've got my credit card all polished and ready!
I'm going to be getting things for card making so hopefully I shall have a fun (but busy) week next week.

Had a lovely day yesterday, bought quite a lot . My favourite stand was Everycraftsapound - 12 items for £10 including dies, stamps, embossing folders, gemstones and papers.

Just been playing with a few but I'm rationing myself so I have some left tomorrow :-)

For those interested in Adult colouring books THE WORKS have a selection in at the moment ranging from £3 to £7. Maybe worth a look if you have a branch in your area.

Yes I saw those today, some good ones there too. I did resist (just) as I already have several with loads of pages to complete.

That was a nice surprise. although I don't know where it came from. In the post today was a large envelope full of craft staff, papers, gems, embroidery threads, charms ooh a lot odf stuff. Nothing to say where it came from and a shame a lot of it is Christmas stuff but hey, it's free and Christmas stuff will be used next year. I can only assume it is a feebie competition win as I do go in for them occasionally.

I assume nobody on here sent it as it came from an industrial site in kent via Yodel.

Everything in the pack is marianne stuff. a couple of very small dies, ribbon, stamps, paper packs, star stick on gems, and a 12x12 Paper pad.

Anybody else used dies by Signature Collection (Sara Davies)? I bought one to use with the Saphire and it is awful to use, doesn't cut very well at all.

Winifred Report 25 Jan 2016 14:59

Have some Signature dies I bought from Joanne Sheen and they are fine. Have you tried using a different sandwiches or just placing it on the edge of the plate. Hope this helps. W x

The Saphire is a very small machine the plates are about two inches wide. It is great with all other dies I have used but not this one, which is the first signature die I have used. I tried paper, shiny card and ordinary card. The best result (which was not perfect) I got when using paper and a shim of card. I will try again tomorrow with other combinations.

Hi,
I have only visited Genes Reunited on very rare occasions. Having just replied to a message, I have been browsing and found this group. I am an avid card maker/paper crafter with dashes of knitting; sewing; cross stitch sprinkled in between!! I was wondering if I could slip into the group from time to time, please. I am a full time carer for my 31 year old disabled daughter and spend much of my time at home. Crafting is my release mechanism!
Kind regards - (Another!) Ann ( but in Northamptonshire!) :-D

Hello Ann, this is an open group with all crafters welcome to exchange ideas. Sadly there are not many of us but do please come on and let us know about your card making etc. what sort of cards do you prefer making? Do you sell your cards etc?

Somewhere there are other threads for crocheting, knitting, cross stitch etc.

I am sure crafting gives you something to focus your mind on. The life of a carer can, I believe, be a lonely one sometimes.

You are very welcome Ann. (Good name :-D )
