Bridget, I don't understand why you are adding to this old thread. Does this mean you are not going to give us any suggestions on the current Greaders suggestions for Jan- Feb 2015 thread?

In the Greaders group we make two suggestions every six weeks, we then vote for the books that we want to read (2 books but not the ones we have suggested). We then read at least the first chosen book and possible the second as well. At the same time on the review thread we review the chosen books from the previous period.

If you are just going to read and review books that you already have but are not chosen to read by the Greaders group then you would be better off reading and reviewing them on the Kindle books and other books I have read thread (by Mersey).

Can you let me know what exactly it is that you want to do. Have you got an e reader? If so, most of the books we choose are available on the kindle. :-) :-)

My Book

I have had this book for a long time and have read it about 5 times. It is not easy to read but was an enjoyable novel about Tudors England.

I had not realised just how the brutality the era was and C J Samson is a master of Tuder Life. He is description is is a perfect mixture of Novelistix and History detail.

A political greed (nothing has changed ) continues even in our time.

I hope that someone will enjoy this........in fact I have decided that I will read this for what my husband will say, not again and I will say 'of course '?

C J Sansom was educated in Birmingham Uni and took a BA and then a PhD in History lived in Sussex.

I have been rather naughty since we moved and have joined the library down here and have whisked through the three books that I got out.. plus I bought two from book shops and one from a library chuck out whilst I was away on holiday.

One of the books I just finished was Dorothy Koomson's "The Rose Petal Beach" which was great BTW.. I also read an Anita Shreve - The Lives of Stella Bain.. which like Toby's Room (from GR's bookclub) was set in WW1.. liked that as well..

Anyways was at another library today collecting an out of print book I wanted to read, had ordered as I still belong to the Auckland libraries as well.. and whilst there I picked up Dorothy Koomson's " The Flavours of Love"

So if it is okay with you people I will pass on a review of it to the thread and then go from there.. I will have to also catch up with what has been read since I have gone away. I still have heaps of my own to read but am sort of doing a bit of both... and with not doing house renovations have a little more time on my hands.

I am sure that you are right Berona, I have done that too. Luckily they were cheap ones.

I have finished reading at the moment, so am waiting !! I have downloaded both The Letter and The Story of Us - as I can see that two more votes in any direction would not alter what is obvious. .I'll look in again tomorrow to make sure I got it right - but it's my bedtime now and I am ready to read! Happy reading all.

Tess was hoping to see her grandson with his lap top so she could vote so, if it is ok with everyone I will leave the result until this afternoon.. If Tess is unable to vote by then I am sure she will go with the rest of us and I can let her know the result by post. <3 At the moment two books are tying as you can see for yourselves.
