Wow, Thanks +++DetEcTive+++ , and all those who gave me advice.
Elizabeth P has finally contacted me. Anita gave me EP's email address.
There is to much to talk about the Wilkins side of the family. as they lost contact with my side in UK . That is good. :-) :-) :-)

All the best for Christmas and the coming New Year to you all.

You're welcome :-D

Fingers crossed that Anita is in contact with Elizabeth P. As she implies that there are a quite a large number of Canadian relatives, hopefully at least a couple will be willing to contact you.

Hi, Thanks so much for your help. Anita appears to be still a member and I am now awaiting a reply from Canada. I did not expect any response so soon as you did mention Anita had not busy for last 6 months. :-)

Thanks again. Will let you know if they are keen to contact me.

Hi, I am would like to accept your offer and appreciate it very much. I am hoping this will be "it".

"Hi,

I hope this message is received by Elizabeth P from BC Canada who sent a message in 2006, through the www.thisiswherearetheynow.co.uk website to find her "long lost" relatives! Teresa Charlotte Wilkins nee DAVIS and Charles Joshua WILKINS who lived in Didsbury are my grandparents. Their children were Owen Davis 1901, Leslie Arthur (1902), Charles Henry (1906) who was my Dad, Robert Edward (1908) and Teresa Nellie (known as Nellie) (1913).

The search has discovered through of the GR volunteers your possible connection to Eliz P. through Anita Wellard. GR volunteer has offered to forward this message to you. Please contact me if you recognize any of the names. Thanks ! "

+++DetEcTive++ I hope this works and thanks for all you have are doing.
:-) a smile but a slight nervousness behind it.

Send me a message that you would like relayed, and I'll pass it on within the next 24 hours. If she replies, I'll let you know and and if it is positive, you can exchange email addresses. ;-)

Alternatively, you could take out a 14 day trial, but make sure you contact them to cancel say 10 days into it. Otherwise they'd take your money.

:-( Unfortunately, I do not subscribe to Ancestry, only to GR and Find My Past. Will find a way though round it. :-) Celery

Did you try contacting anitawellard2204? Just because the profile says she hasn't been active for 6 months, she may still be able to pick up messages.

Even though she doesn't appear to be Elizabeth P, she may know her.

Thank you Rose, sent a msg through to this Liz.p and hope she is the one I am searching for. Her profile looks very quiet though. I will keep on try.

She has a very unusual email address. If you Google aljagriz you'll see she has a profile on Flixter that says she lives in Surrey, BC.

celery Report 1 Dec 2011 13:05

As requested by Rose and the last msg from +++DetEtTive+++ is correct
dated 19 Nov re my father's brother

This msg was found in www.thisiswherearetheynow.co.uk link and says:-

"First, I really don't know what county to select so don't let my choice deter you! I am the gr granddaughter (in Canada) of Teresa Charlotte Davis and Henry Joshua Wilkins. I know that Teresa's birth was recorded in the quarter of March 1872 in Bromsgrove and her marriage was recorded in Bucklow in the quarter of December 1900. She remained in Manchester in Didsbury after the marriage. I am coming to the UK this fall and would like to meet any "long lost" relatives!! Please contact me if you recognise any of the names! Elizabeth. BC Canada.
Name Elizabeth P.

The email address at the time was [email protected] When tried to contact them by email, It bounced!

She is definitely related to me as her grgrandparents are my grandparents. The above msg was sent in 2006, so it is five years ago and was found by a friend.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 19 Nov 2011 09:18

Although it is unlikely to be Elizabeth P, there is a tree on Ancestry who's tree owner has a board name of anitawellard2204. Although the living people are private, she has

Leslie Arthur Wilkins
Birth 31 Dec 1902 in Didsbury, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Death 1997 in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada

Mary Winifred Swadling
Birth June1901 in Didsbury, Lancashire, United Kingdom
Death 1977 in Travelling to Reno, USA - but lived in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada

Leslie Arthur Wilkins being the child of Henry Joseph Wilkins and Teresa Charlotte Davis. It looks as if the 'Root' person is their grandchild. Could Elizabeth P be the root person's daughter? Although the account hasn't been active for over 6 months, have you tried to contact Anita?

The person who gave me the information said it was from Google! I did a search but was unable to trace it and it was in the year 2006! As I said, there was an email address. As to the 2nd question, I have not been successful in checking the 'search trees' I will endeavour to keep trying

Thank you for your interest. celery :-)

And have you checked 'search trees'?
