Would have thought it better to get that death cert first to see if it is him. The informant too could be family which may give you some clues as to where he was and if he remarried

It's unlikely that any of your siblings or other relatives will come across this post. If you haven't already then use the 'Search all trees' function under the Search button at the top of the page to see if they are listed or John Arthur Wood is.
Then you can send them a message.

If you know the names of the siblings, try looking on freebmd or this site for possible marriages, then on 192.com, the online electrol roll. It is pay to view, not subscription.

Are you related to J A Wood d.o.b. 11.2.1921 died 1976? His father, George and mother Sarah Ann. One sister, Mary. If so, you will be related to me. I am John's daughter; he had 8 other children. We all live Carlisle Cumbria.
