Patricia I'm sure no one is suggesting for a moment you are making anything up, what I believe people are trying to say is that since you have only been 'told' what happened when you were a baby no one can be sure of accuracy?

The more info that can be found the better the chances of helping, even if it is only to eliminate 'possibilities' :-)

Could you tell me perhaps how old May Shepherd was, when you lived with her or if you know, when she died? it just might help to fill out the background.

May died in 1969. I have spent many years when i was a lot younger finding out about the Shepherd's and my blood is not the same. They told a few lies to keep me, but that was all. My wish is to know who my sister his or was and her family, the older you get the more it hurt's. Did my mother go back for her if she did why not me.Does she look like me are there more brothers and sisters. When your young you hope it wont hurt so much when you old,but it's more.

Patricia, where was May living when she died in 1969 ? the reason I am asking is that if I find her full name, I can look on the electoral rolls in the 40s,
it may help locate where Frances may have been living before she had you and who with :-)

I think in view of where they lived, the Kensington one looks the most likely.

Patricia - can you confirm if this is your May as the surname is spelt with an 'a'.

You are doing very well especially as the computer side is new to you - keep going if you can, if not we can do as Kay???? suggests - no pressure.

Everybody on here is trying to help. We do not think you are not telling the truth, but we have to bring together something you have been living with for some time. You have gone by what you have been told and not necessarily what is the fact of the matter.

She was May Shepherd died july / august 1969 1n 1948 she was about 50 to 60 ish

Patricia, the problem I think, is that we cannot find May's death registration in that name, in the right area.

We need to find that to confirm her date of birth.

It may be that when her death was registered it was either in her full name, that is she may have been known as 'May' but that could have been her middle name. Can you think of any other name she may have had.

If Shepherd was her married name, do you know her husband's first names? or names of children ( if they are stilll living PM them perhaps to Kay?)

Everything you can tell us , no matter how small it may seem will help

They were there all through the 30s up to 39 ( no electoral rolls for war I assume) trying to find the other's named to ascertain her maiden name.
