Just to keep you informed Jacqueline has asked to meet up withe when she hopefully goes to meet her daughter at the end of next month, we have emailed quite a lot and sent photos to eavh other, but she is very busy at the moment so things might get delayed a little bit but the offer of meeting up is still there :-)

As always, we are all glad to help in any way we can. I hope once it all sinks in Jacqueline will be happy to have contact with you.

I have contacted jaqualine and had a very pleasent and lovely reply from her, she was very shocked but pleased I ccontacted her, we have exchange a few photos, she has posted me a photo of mum and granddad through my messenge, but she is still in shock and I think till she gets her head round it all we will just message eachother for while,thanks again for all your help jax and flip :-)

Think I might wait till after Christmas and try to contact her in the newyear :-)

Sorry Jax, didn't notice your comment. Eve was the nick-name by which Evelyn Mary was know according to her obituary and a tribute paid to her by a friend in a dog magazine.

It's got to be your decision, and not one taken lightly, on whether you contact Evelyn's daughter or not - I assume Jax has given her address, e-mail and phone number - all available publically. Personally, also being an adoptee, I would contact her. Google Eve and her married surname, you'll find she had a love of dogs!

Evelyn's granddaughter has a tree on ancestry, but hasn't logged in for over a year - however you could view the tree on mundia.com as I see you were trying to create a family tree for the grandchildren - she has quite a lot of your ancestry on her tree, so may help in your research.

Let us know how you get on if you do decide to get in touch with your half sister!

I personally cannot see any problems....Evelyn was 27 when she married her husband was 66 he had a previous family which were a lot older than their only daughter......she maybe glad of a new found half sister nearer her own age??

yes it wasafter all these years but now i am sure this is the right family although i havent picked up the courage yet to write to evelyn marys daughter as i dont know if they know about me and i dont want to cause any problems as this is not my intention at all :-)
