Possible Mona is short for Monica.

Do your older sisters remember anything like the names of Mona's children?

There is a Monica and George Scott with MMN Street. Monica had 3 daughters but I see no links to Tonbridge.

Hi rose where did u see this? I'm not sure if her name was anything different as when ever heard of her she was always mona, but maybe!!
I'm still waiting to hear from mums best friend, unfortunately her husband just passed away so she's not in a good place right now.
Who would of guessed looking for someone would be so hard!! Thanks for trying for me, really appreciate it x

The Scott/Street births are in the early 1930's, so unlikely?

Just checking, Mona and her children lived with her brother, and there was no husband around?

Melanie

There was talk of George travelling so that might make sense if this is him, mum was married at one point to a bloke who was born in early 30s so it's def probable!

If you put Scott and Street into freebmd between the years 1930 and 1935 you will find 2 births in Staines.

http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Both have 3 extra names which helps in following them in subsequent marriages or deaths if they used them.

But the birth is for a Monica, and Rose says she can see no connection to Tonbridge (or presumably Tunbridge).

Have you any information on names of Mona's daughters?

Added:
Some of the children of that Monica's marriage have their names in people's trees on here, 4 daughters and a son, 1955 to1966, in Surrey, so wrong family?

If her name is definitely Mona, these look like the only possible marriages:

Marriages Mar 1950
Scott Mona L Murphy Wallasey (probably born 1922)
Marriages Mar 1954
Scott Mona Hunt Epping (probably born 1933)
Scott Mona A Moore Durham W. (probably born 1932)
Marriages Sep 1954
Scott Mona E Clarke E. Dereham (probably born 1930)
Marriages Sep 1959
SCOTT Mona S ROBINSON Newcastle T. (probably born 1940)

Heard a bit more which is mona would be 74 or 75 and she had a son who would be about 55, friend of family can't remember his name tho!!
