Michael if you want to rule out Barbara having died you need to get her birth certificate first

even then you will only be able to check on line whether she died before 2008

with her first name and her exact date of birth you can search the deaths index at Ancestry

for example right now searching for the name Barbara born in June 1941 there are about 75 deaths ... only one who was born June 1, two who were born June 2, etc.

if there is a Barbara with your Barbara's birthdate who has died, you could try to trace backward to see whether the surname matches a birth or marriage

I would not put the date of birth here as she may well be living but once you have it you could communicate it privately to someone to search Ancestry if you don't have access

could I also just point out that I don't think you know she was born in June 1941, you know that her birth was registered in the June quarter of 1941

she could have been born in April, May or June or even in late March and technically as early as February because a birth could be registered as late as 6 weeks later although that is unlikely

i can rule out the marriage of barbara logan to malcolm adams because her first husband my grandfather had remarried in 1972 so he eiether divorced her or she passed but i dont think she passed that early as i cant find a death ,speaking to family im not sure if she may be in wales

Michael,

You put that you were looking for John Michael Rogers - and we had not looked for him on the previous thread as far as I was aware.

You also mentioned Barbara in your opening post.

We had found information about Barbara and posted some suggestions about what we thought about possible subsequent marriages.
You have deleted that information and so Shirley and others will be going over the same ground.
You may have access to the deleted information, but new helpers do not.

I agree with Ricochet, as to deleting threads.

If you want to check out the marriages in detail, see which ones you can get the marriage certificates for, and what further information they contain, if available and you are prepared to pay for them.

If that leads you to finding that the marriage is of the wrong person, you have at least eliminated them.

You do not know that any subsequent marriages happened in the same area, or whether she did not marry and either stayed single or lived together unmarried.

Ricochet

Ricochet Report 24 Mar 2014 13:04

There is no mention on this thread of a travis/logan birth, so it must have been on the threads you deleted.

This is a good example of why you should not delete threads where people have posted data

Unfortunately it would mean buying certs to see if there was a father named .

BUT isnt her birth with mmn Cheetham too ?? so that wouldnt help .

The marital status of the bride may help but its paying out I,m afraid just to eliminate.

Have you looked for births on FreeBMD from 1958 with mmn Cheetham narrowing it down to the area.

You may be able to crosscheck the marriages for each one listed again to eliminate them as not having a mum Barbara.

As she married very young its more than likely she had more children

yes i was thinking logan again lol but is there any way of checking if that logan was cheetham beforehand ,as someone said to me there was travis /logan birth so it couldnt be travis but i thought travis ,adams and logan but is that logan related to her first husband michael francis ,logan im absolutley useless at this just beginner
